TCM was develop by Michael Cortina. TCM is an effective alternative to traditional therapy. Developed to treat trauma, TCM has expanded and may treat multiple issues: trauma, guilt, fear, anxiety, phobias. addictions, grief/loss, sleep issues and so much more. Visits are guided by the TCM Practitioner using metaphors and stories. It taps into the subconscious mind and speeds up the process of healing. Benefits of TCM are individuals do not have to rehash painful memories to overcome them. They just sit back and effortlessly move through the process with a trained TCM healer. EMDR stands for Rapid Eye Movement Desensatisation Reprocessing and developed over 30 years ago by Fracine Shapiro. It is evidence based and an effective alternative to traditional therapy. EMDR was originally developed to help individuals struggling with post- traumatic stress but has been found to be helpful for many issues. The therapist guides participants through a process using Rapid Eye Movements and/or Bilateral Stimulation. This is done by having participants do side to side eye movements or tapping either side of their body to process negative beliefs then replacing it with positive beliefs, thoughts, and emotions.
